Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology

It could be argued that humans are the most successful species on this planet. They have conquered the world in which they live, utilising their environment and the riches the Earth offers and mastering other species to become the dominant animal. But what makes humans so successful? The human body can be explained more simply by organising its structures into distinct systems which work together in a complex way. This chapter will unravel some of these complexities by exploring the systems of the human body – the main structures within each system and their function, giving examples of common disorders that affect each system and insight into how each works together to form the phenomenon that is the human body.
